As partners, our commitment starts with our farmers: our friends in Colombia, Guatemala, Brazil, Costa Rica, Ethiopia, Peru, and the many other countries from which we source our beans. Each of our sources prioritizes environmental and qualitative responsibilities. We make every effort to buy directly from the farmers and cooperatives in order to not allow our beans to pass through a third set of hands. Our work ethic, our morale, and our business perspective are heavily influenced by the folk-tale of the Jumping Mouse. This mouse sacrifices the vision and way of life with which he was comfortable and familiar in order to become something greater.
